According to a recent R*E*P*E*A*T Review here
"Papa Jupes latest hymn is out and good gosh does it slap
the production is so clean, calm, and collected. Its awfully catchy
and dreadfully easy to sing along to!
PAPA JUPES T.C. were founded in Cardiff in 2017 by frontman and
lyricist Harry Willicombe and multi- instrumentalist Sam Butcher. Together,
the pair undertake the majority of songwriting duties in a partnership
dating back to 2013 with indie-rockers Mirror Gorillas.
Bassist, Alex Miller, joined the fold shortly after and has since played
an important role in the production and mixing of the bands music,
allowing the band to keep all of their production in-house.
New single High Value Male which will be available on
all digital streaming platforms on 22nd March 2024. The song is a sleazy
disco track that delves into the mind of a man who has fallen down the
rabbit hole of of idolising misogynistic online influencers.
Drink the liquid for the man, dance with him, Jupe calls us all,
praise be.

Whats next for the Jupe, is there an album on the horizon?
Jupe in the Flesh is almost ready to be released to the masses. An EP,
not an album. Were not sure if well follow the EP up with
another EP or commit to the album. Jupe needs to show us the light.
We are his sheep and he is the Shepherd.
Who is Papa Jupe and why does he make you play bangers?
Papa Jupe is the leader of the T.C. He is all-knowing. We must spread
his words through our sound. We want to convince the world to join his
organisation one pop song at a time.
Theres 7 of you right? Whats your writing process look
like?
Were not really sure, its a religious fever dream where
were not in full control of our bodies or minds. Just Papa guiding
us through with his gentle, terrible hands.
Do you go in with any set goals or a particular sound when writing
or do you just freeball it?
Sometimes, it never really works out the way we originally intended
and it shifts into something else. I suppose like everything its
forever changing and shifting with time.
You are all very drippy - do you coordinate beforehand or just let
the wind of the day take over?
Its a big coordination. Fevered followers of Throwing Fits.
Whats your overall message to the world? What are Papa Jupes
TC trying to say?
Were just trying to point out whats unfair - were
not going to shy away from topics that we (and Jupe) feel passionately
about. The state of the country due to 12 years of Tory rule. The rise
in toxic masculinity which is down to people like Andrew Tate, people
that shouldn't have the platform that they have. Its what we feel
passionate about, so why not sing about it?
You all have a slamming stage presence, do you have any influences with
that or not?
Im a huge fan of Mark E Smith and ideally want to emulate his
effortless cool but Im too fidgety.
Big thanks to Papa Jupes for their time and their
tunes, follow them here
