The past months have been very busy for us all, but Cambridge has been in the forefront of opposing Trump (most anti Trump City in Britain, according to this article) and Robinson. It is no coincidence that our Cambridge MP, MEP and council leader were amongst the first prominent names to sign the SUTR statement and the statment against racism in football here

Never Again

A Night of Music, Poetry, words and images to remember the Holocaust
Fri 14th February, The Box Cafe, Norfolk Street, CB1 2LD.

The Holocaust was the worst crime in human history.

And yet it happened not so very long ago in a country not so very far away, in conditions not so very different from those we live in today.

Our new decade has been preceded by a rise in racism, including Islamophobia and Antisemitism. We have right wing populist governments in the UK and USA, and the alarming growth in far right and Fascist movements in Europe. This means it is essential that we learn the lessons of what happened in Germany in the 1930s, so that we can be sure that these horrors happen never again.

This informal event will include a short illustrated talk plus music and poetry, and there will be a cafe to buy refreshments.

Organised by Cambridge Love Music Hate Racism and Cambridge Stand Up to Racism, backed by R*E*P*E*A*T Records and Cambs Association of the National Education Union.

The large amount of activity we are involved with reflects the period in which we are living. There is a serious rise in racist incidents, but just as importantly, there is a new confidence and vitality amongst anti racist campaigners

Say No to Bigotry - Get Involved with Stand Up to Racism

Recent days have seen a heartening rejection of the racism and bigotry of Donald Trump and of our own Prime Minister's disgraceful appeasement of him and his policies. If we keep up the pressure we can turn the heat on Theresa May and keep the anti racist agenda in the limelight.

If we all work together we can make sure the voices of the anti racist majority are heard!
