GARUDA- The Greeks

Garuda are three young blokes from Cambridge who take me back in a time machine to when post-punk ruled the world or was, at least, triumphing in this fair city. I don’t have the tracklisting or even a press release for this EP and I can’t be arsed to look it up either but CRS and Miss Black America might be proud grandparents for the amount of spiky guitars and mashed up tunes. The vocals are a bit more nasal though.

Comparing themselves to early Biffy and Fugazi (OK, I did look up their Facebook page; I’m not that lazy), one song has a Green Day bassline and a poppy ‘da da daaaaaa’ moment, they write about pub brawls, colonialism and The Incredible Hulk and also sound a bit like Jetplane Landing. Talented for their age. Don’t like the singing though. I’m sure they have a Soundcloud page if you want to actually know what the songs are called.
