Deap Vally - Lies

With soulful dirt, Deap Vally capture a rare beauty. Guitar switching between a bouncing backing, and a ferocious fuzz monster. It contrasts beautifully with the soulful tone of Lindseys voice and the relentless force of Julies drums. Tapping your foot and bobbing your head IS compulsory. Clearly hearing influences from across the board, Black Sabbath, and Tina Turner.(but with a somewhat less irritating voice!) They are like a tiger, Deap Vally execute their unstoppable onslaught with a hard, cold vengeance, and attitude. Which is good. 'Lies' is their slick, smooth machine which has already started to carry the ladies high into the sky of stardom. And it deserves it.
