Pink Party is ungodly From Michael and Caroline Stout WORDS fail us after reading ( News, August 21) of the Pink Picnic to be held within the grounds of Cherry Hinton Hall. The organisers are "expecting to see members of the gay, lesbian, bisexual, heterosexual and transgender communities . . ." As no words of our own will touch the lives of these people we quote scripture: Romans 1: 24- 28. "Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshipped and served created things rather than the Creator - who is for ever praise. Amen. "Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion. "Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done." Christians know that this country is now under judgment. We have brought it upon ourselves by using the free will God gave us to follow our own ways. God does not condemn us: We condemn ourselves. Such events being held confirm this, lifestyles that deny God's sovereignty - He who is the Creator of us all and who one day we shall all meet face to face and have to give an account of our lives to. Whether people accept the truth of this is irrelevant, God says it will happen and therefore it will. For any doubters, check with the Bible all the events that were foretold and have come true - every single one and some still yet to happen but be assured will come to pass. For those who respond by saying we are homophobic or similar then let us state categorically that we are not. God blesses heterosexual relationships within the bounds of holy matrimony, no other sexual relationship is acceptable to God. A final question. Who gave permission for this event to be held?
