The Skids - Days in Europa

Full of immediate hooks and sing-along melodies, 'Days in Europa' is also chock-a-block with strange phased sounds, reverb-soaked backing tracks, synth drums, and strange lyrical references. This is one of the strangest rock albums, and one of the most appealing at the same time. Listening to 'The Olympian' my fists pump the air. 'Peaceful Times' has reduced me to tears. I'm trying to think of another album like that, but there isn't one.

Jobson is now a director, and his debut film '16 Years of Alcohol' is brilliant.

Buy this album, listen to this album, and run through the streets shouting for joy.
